Christine Nicholls from CAN has been in the news recently following the withdrawal of winter fuel payments for older people talking about the knock-on effects this may have.
Christine has been pointing out that those who continue to be eligible (due to receipt of pension credits) won’t receive the payment automatically and will have to apply. We’ll be out in communities encouraging anyone eligible to apply.

Pension Credit is available to those over state pension age (66) and tops up pension income to help pay for day-to-day living costs. You may be eligible even if you own your home or have savings.
