Don’t forget to claim your Energy Bill Support Scheme vouchers!
Through the Energy Bill Support Scheme households on traditional prepayment meters should have received vouchers worth up to £400 towards their energy costs over the 2022/23 winter.
Direct debit payers received their discount automatically, whereas prepayment customers need to redeem their vouchers. The government is urging eligible households to claim their payment, with a deadline of 30th June 23.
Current figures show 80% of vouchers given have been redeemed, but there is still £160 million to claim.
Traditional prepayment meter customers will have received vouchers via text, email or post; they can be redeemed at your local Post Office or PayPoint. IF your voucher has expired please contact your fuel supplier and ask them to reissue the voucher.
