Off-gas communities advice service launched in Northumberland

CAN is delighted to announce we have been awarded two years funding to deliver advice to households across rural Northumberland in our off-gas communities on the best renewable energy options open to them, as well as efficiency measures.

Households need to understand the best options for their properties in order to make the move to low or zero carbon installations – and they need to have access to a trusted, independent source of advice and support. This is what we aim to provide with the funding awarded by the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme.

We can offer FREE:

  • Home energy and carbon reduction advice
  • Advice on renewable technology
  • Advice on insulation
  • Support for getting funding/grants

We have appointed one of our current energy advisers, Brian Watson, to take on this role from 3rd April and this leaflet explains what’s on offer. If you want to get in early to book an appointment with Brian, please email renewables@ca-north.org.uk

We’ll also be appointing a trainee to support Brian later in the year. Keep an eye out for information in future bulletins if you know someone who may be interested.
